Hi
Anyone managed to get hold of the new O2 Cash Manager cards.?
It took three attempts to get logged into the O2 site before it said I will get a card in 5 - 10 days (3 weeks ago) My brother had to contact them as it kept losing his login, only to be told he has never had an account with them (he has been with them 5 years, and regularly gones onto his online account):(
My neice and her husband are also still waiting for the cards to turn up.
None of us have or want credit cards, but need to be able to buy via the internet.
Any help anyone??

Ok thanks for that, Will wait a few more weeks and then call them.
At least I now know that they are a good idea.
I make cards so need something that I can buy my craft things with as have found a few sites that won't accept cheques.0 -
If people want to buy online and don't want a credit card, why not use a debit card?
Both Barclays (Cash Card Account) and Co-Operative Bank (Cashminder) offer full VISA debit cards on basic bank accounts, that aren't credit scored (the Barclays account isn't even credit checked). Because they are basic account they don't have an overdraft, and if you ensure only to put how much you need for the transaction you are going to make into the account via faster payments before making the purchase, there's no worry about your money going walkies - I've got two Barclays cash accounts and I can confirm that they won't authorise payments that take the account even 1P overdrawn.
Worth considering, cheaper and more effective than prepay cards IMHO
Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

They say these cards do not have any thing else to pay on them, unless you use the ATM, plus I don;t bank with barclays or co-op and don't have passport or driving licence so it would be a hassle to try and get a debit card.
I am already with O2 so thought it would be better as I could also transfer money to my phone aswell0 -
khawk the O2 card is free to use even at ATM only charges are if youre overseas. Thats why they are soo good I use mine to track my expenses for the month the text messages really make you think when you spend!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts :j:j

I'm thinking of getting on to help with my sekf imposed DMP. I was going to use my Barclaycard to buy petrol and food each month, then use the O2 card for social expenses (pub, dinner with freinds, etc...), set myself a limit and transfer this amount each month.Bank Loans: [STRIKE]£25000[/STRIKE] £0- Barclay Card 14%: [STRIKE]£2500[/STRIKE] £0- Student Loan: [STRIKE]£12,500[/STRIKE] £0
Current total [STRIKE]£40,000[/STRIKE] £0:j (100% PAID OFF)0
