I've had an exceptionally expensive day....£31 at the vets, keeping my wee doggy healthy, £51 in Tescos & £11 at the butchers, keeping us fed for the next couple of weeks, and £50 towards pram for baby (not due for a few weeks yet, am paying for it a bit at a time, but its interest free. And my in laws are giving me the money for it once the baby is born anyway).

But on the plus side, got a letter from BT telling us that we have overpaid them by a ridiculous amount and they are refunding us £140 and dropping our monthly DD by £14. What a result!

    £52.85 at Sainsburys

This is the biggest spend I have had there in an age. But it used to be about the norm. Today I was horrified at that. So it shows my progress I guess.

But to be fair to myself, we had to buy razor blades for BF, Sunblock for us both (at least I got some Piz Buin half price....all the own brand/cheap stuff has sold out), 'lady' things ( ), hair conditioner, hair gel for BF, soap, washing powder....all those things that bump the total up horrifically.

I did also succumb to a full price olive pave bread (mmmmmmmm) to go with some HM soup I will be making on Wednesday.....and also two Danish Cinammon Whirls which were flirting with me as we selected some bread.....oh and a big pot of hummus too...I could go on. (However the hummus was for snacks whilst watching the footie which is better than going to the pub and spending money on ale!)

I hope everyone else had a better time of it in the supermarket than I did.

Local shop this am - 79p Shake n vac, 10p lolly (for me) 12p sweet (DD)

Butcher's van this pm - £8.09 Rump Steak, 2 chix breasts, 2 sausages

Local shop again this pm £22.29 - Ahem - whisky, lager, honey, kitchen roll, soy sauce

That's in addition to spending nearly £10 on lager and wine at the garage last night - problem is DH thinks the world cup is a valid excuse to drink copius amounts of alcohol!
