Halifax Bank Charges

I bank with the Halifax, and have a Cardcash Account, which charges £35 for a failed direct debit, I have noticed that they also have an account called EasyCash which is exactly the same as Cardcash but it only charges £15 for a failed direct debit, I have recently received a letter from Halifax saying that from the 1st Nov 2009 the charges on the Cardcash account will be reduced to £15 per failed direct debit, does this mean that they were wrong to charge £35 and do you think I could reclaim the additional charges back

perhaps but the banks are paniking incase they lose the court case today youll find if they do win the bank charges will go back to normal so i wouldnt get your hopes up

Just to add to this Im also banking with halifax and have a card cash account and get charged £35 per unpaid direct debit... Unfortunatly last week I inccured another charge as my home insurance come out 2 days beofre I got paid (my fault I know but when your skint your skint)
I had the dreaded letter from Halifax and was surprised to note this time the charge was £15
So it looks like yes they have changed it too £15
