I used photoshop to crop and shrink the photo to the right size, then pasted 8 onto a 6x4 background, transferred to memory card and printed it off at Boots for the princely sum of 49p. I know not everyone has photoshop, but other editors will do the trick. You get professional print quality this way, for very little cost.
