can you recommended trades people in glasgow?

Hi everyone (nervous...first ever post!)

I live in an old crumbling house which I am desperate to update but have had nightmares with builders etc. Initially I would love to replace the ancient central heating system and possibly fit an electric shower in my bathroom. Looked on the forums tonight and looks like it's ok to ask this, hope so....would be so grateful if you can suggest any good folk you've come across.
