I want to build a shelter for around the side and rear of my house ( well get someone in to do it for me,) I do not know what they call it?
I want it to come out about 7ft so to give us protection from the rain in winter and so to sit under during the summer months.
I want to use the roof sheeting used for conservatories and for support wooden stakes,
can anyone advise me of where I can look at some pictures and get some good ideas or has anyone built there own

polycarbonate its called, or you could get cheapy corrugated plastic sheeting, but it wouldnt be as nice. remember it will be noisy in the rain and i dont know how it will react to the wind being open0

Veranda! it was on the tip of my tongue all night but i couldn't remember it - thanks, i will google veranda now.
I'm hoping it will be secured properly so that it can take the wind, I really need it for the dog at the moment as I have to go outside with him (only a pup) but I like to have the back door open most of the time and the rain keeps comming in. But I have wanted one of these for a few years now and I have some money saved up and don't want to waste it on something silly like christmas (he he)became debt free December 060 -
ormus - I would love one like yours but the space I have is half of what you have ( have just gone out to count the flags and it was 3 flags across where as you have 6 or 7?
But yes that is the idea a want to have some plants growing up the wood beams.
At the rear of my house I can have it alot bigger though and I plan to get that done next spring or summer. I am more desperate to get the side done where my back door is at the moment.
