on the kwik fit site if i put my car reg in it comes up with 4 tyre sizes for my car and to check my size and choose the rite ones but i have just bought a car at auction and all the tyres are pretty low so i need 4. my original tyres are Front and rear: 195/60V15 which work out expensive for the 4 so my question is can i put on Front and rear: 185/65H14 which works out a lot cheaper or do i have to stick to whats on the car...thx guys

You shouldn't be mixing tyre sizes.
What car is it and I'll try and find out the correct size. If you've got a mix of 14" and 15" then you'll need to buy two wheels to get the sizes to match.
What size is the spare?0 -

think the spare is just a emergency wheel.. dont want to mix em..all 4 tyres will be same size just want to know if i can swap 195 for 185 as i need 4 new
car is a focus 1.8tdci ghia on a 02 plate
thx0 -
You are also reducing the rating from V to H rated which is a lower speed rating and if spotted after an accident could invalidate your insurance.
This is a good website for information and cheap tyres http://www.blackcircles.com/general/tyre-price-comparison0 -

195/60R15 tyres will only fit the 15" wheels you have. 185/65R14 tyres won't fit on 15" wheels. Hence my confusion over your tyre size.
You'll have to stick with the 195/60R15 tyres I'm afraid and you can't reduce the speed or load ratings either (92V iirc). Any reduction below the manufacturers specification may result in your insurance being invalidated.0 -
