Hi all,
On 6th December 2009 I'll be abseiling down the Bristol Children's Hospital to raise money for CLIC Sargent. This is an amazing charity that were an absolute godsend when my niece was diagnosed with leukaemia aged just 4 years old. The charity supported my family throughout the whole thing and now, just over 2 and a half years later, Chloe is thankfully in remission and doing well. But we wouldn't have gotten here without the amazing people at CLIC!
I've set up a webpage where people can make donations safely and securely online. All money goes directly to the charity and is automatically included in Gift aid which means that the taxman donates 28p for every pound donated. Every day, another ten kids in the UK are diagnosed with cancer. CLIC Sargent are working hard to not only try to decrease these numbers, but to also support the families that have already received this devasting news and suport them through the whole experience.
I'd appreciate it if anyone willing or able to doante any amount, no matter how small an amount, would visit my page and do so. The link is www.virginmoneygiving.com/NikkiBennett and all the info about CLIC as well as my challenge are on there. For those who might be worried, Virgin does not make money from this website, 100% of all donations and giftaid goes directly to the charity. Alternatively, if you can't afford anything, please feel free to come along on the day and support myself and the other abseilers on the day by cheering us all on!!!!
