FSCS - Loanmakers

I made a claim to fscs in july of this year re mis-selling of ppi through loanmakers. I have been told that my case is now with a referer and should hear back soon.
Just wondered if anyone else can give any advice as to timescales or their experience of fscs/loanmakers.
Thanks

Hi there
I would chase this up with the FSCS, as loanmakers are now actually declared in default just recently and have started paying out.
It sounds like then the FSCS have passed this on to a business who helps them out called deloittes, as soon as this have been assessed by deloittes, they pass it back to the FSCS to then review what deloittes have done, then if they accept this the cheque with a letter should be sent out to you.
Call the FSCS for an update.

You may notice above a thread for the FSCS which also includes other companies that have gone into default, most of them Picture finance claimers, who have received refunds and many still waiting.
The company I am claiming of are also in default and now in the last stages as informed by the FSCS and I was told I should hear something in the post by Wednesday (tomorrow).
Give them a call, good luck and please let us know how you get on, cheers.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Forgot to say, the company I am claiming is Twopart ltd, that are with the FSCS, I started the reclaim last July 2008, but was one of the first ones, of ref number 001, even though the business dissolved well over a year ago, they were not actually declared into default until Sept of this year, think Loanmakers are around that time as well, but at least you now have your claim in, so you should not be waiting too long.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

My claim was with deloittes but was passed back to fscs 3-4 weeks ago.
Is it the case that most of the claims against loanmakers have been upheld?0 -

Hi there,
I take it that Deloittes/FSCS look into the cases like the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) do, I think if they declined I'm sure you would have heard by now.
I would defo chase this up though, because to what I know of, once your case have been passed back to the FSCS, they say up to a month of when they pay out.
Also check this thread out here to give you more of an idea.;)

Give the FSCS a ring tomorrow and they should have an update for you.
I will say though, sometimes the FSCS pass them back to deloittes again for recalculating, for example, on timing out, as your also being paid for interest as from when the business went into default, this have to be calculated, and if the FSCS have not done this on time, it has to be calculated again, hopefully you will receive some good news from them tomorrow.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hey DI3004,
My provider was Firstplus, it’s now Elderbridge.
Did you to provide any documents please?
It looks like I cannot find any documents in my files. I only have a letter from Loanmakers.
But I don’t have the credit agreement. I probably sent it to the Loan Provider (Firstplus).
It has been 10 years and I am still paying, I am gutted.
I had complained in 2012 but then I moved house.
I didn’t hear anything from FSCS and I thought it was a lost case.
Do you think I can speak to Elderbridge to get the documents and upload them to FSCS please?
Many thanks
