Ammending Airline Tickets? The Laws?

I bought airline tickets on Saturday online but would like to change the date of deaprture.

When I contacted the company, they said that as tickets are non-refundable (as apparently stated in the terms and conditions - although it only says it may be non-refundable), the dates can not be changed.

They also state that IATA guidelines were also in place saying I could only change dates within a day of purchase. Is this true? Does the long distance selling rule of 7 days not apply to airline tickets?

No the DSRegs do not apply to contracts to provide transport.

OK, the disatance regulation act won`t work.

But I still will contest that the terms and conditions do not state it`s a non-refundable ticket. Furthermore the company is saying it is the airline rules, however the airline terms and conditions clearly state that if I pay a price I can change the ticket.

Do the company have to show me the terms and conditions of the sale? They`re refusing to show me and saying `believe me` which I don`t. Waiting for the manager`s call.

You normally have to pay much more and specifically purchase flexible tickets when buying airline tickets.
