in Credit cards
i have recently been made unemployed, and am claiming jsa,but i keep getting calls off credit card ,and debt recovery companies trying to get payments.i tell them all i am going to get is £64.50 per week jsa,and this is going towards the mortgage, and food, and that i cant pay anything.am i right in believing that they cant do anything whilst unemployed,if i offer to pay something(even if its £2 a month).

Sorry to hear about your situation. It is always best to be open with the credit card companies. There are charities such as Citizens Advice who can help; don't be tempted to go to one offering debt help for a fee.0

yes just offer them £1 a month for the time being, they will huff and puff making it sound as if they need to be paid and you have to pay but you don't, if the money isn't there don't worry yourself to much, make them a token payment and tell them they'll have to accept it no matter if they like it r not.0
