PPI nearly there.......

I wish i could keep my threads linked together for clarity but i can never find my previous.Ill keep trying.anyway..

My PPI claim handler has sent a detailed report. Long story short,Loan amount taken on sept 2008 £7023.87+PPI "one off" premium of £1766.91. My letter states a goodwill gesture rebate of £1179.46 but as I am a valued customer Lloyds will backdate the cancellation to the date of complaint (5 sept 2009) and give me £1346.97. I am in no way greedy but should i press for the backdate from the start of the loan or be happy with this amount? My heartfelt thanx to all the knowlege bearers on the site for helping this happen.Especially DI who obviously never sleeps :-)

    Wow well done to you.......:T:beer::T.
This is entirely up to you hun, if you feel you should push on this, then there is no harm in trying, what some have said on here is that they have accepted as in part payment, and then go on to fight the rest out with the FOS if they do not do this for you.;)

Lol, your right there in regards of sleep :o:rotfl::rotfl::D and your very welcome.

  • Ah,It seems in my excitement i might have missed something. My acceptance slip says "this payment will be made to my loan account, and the term of my loan reduced" I gather Lloyds still want to deduct it from the loan amount instead of sending me a cheque  If this is the case then its all the way to FOS:D

    Hi hun
May I ask if you owe arrears on this?
Hope you don't mind me asking.
Because if this is the case they do tend to pay the refund towards this and anything remaining should be refunded direct to you.

If this is not the case and they state they are paying this towards the account anyway, then you can of course write to them and tell them how you preferred to get paid this refund, tell them you prefer it was refunded directly to you, as you were out of pocket in the first place due to this, if they do not resolve this for you how you want this resolved, then yes complain to the FOS.;)

  • No arreers.Never missed a payment.will try writing to ask for cash payment first.thank you;););););)
  • I phoned Lloyds today and was told that my complaint has not been accepted and the only offer on the table was having the above mentioned funds added against the loan. The advisor i spoke to assured me that payment to myself would not be possible:mad:
    R.T.U the F.O.S?

    Hi there
    So sorry to hear that.
Personally if this were me, it would be the FOS, although it could take a good while, however they are trying to resolve as many complaints as possible and regularly taking on new Adjudicators.
If your in hardship, let the FOS know, and ask if they could consider fast tracking.

You can download and print the FOS complaints form from the FOS site, or ring them to arrange to have one sent through the post.
Take photocopies of all correspondence and anything you have to support your case.

So it is entirely up to you from here, either way I wish you luck.
