Borrowed personel protection

just got off the phone to hsbc and they said i had BORROWED PERSONEL PROTECTION they couldnt tell me anything about it ie what acc it was for how much it was or anything like that

any idea what this is and could i claim it back

Hi there

It may then be a good idea if you want to is request a subject access request (SAR) if you have not done this yet.
It does sound like its a protection to protect your borrowing, but maybe the SAR will come back with more information, otherwise hopefully someone will post up who will know more about this.

For the SAR request though there is a charge of £10 postal order or cheque payment, and they have 40 days to comply.

You could though as another option, ring the HSBC back and ask them to send you the policy details through the post, they should be able to do this and it should be free as well.;)
