I'm feeling rather pleased!
Our lease is up for renewal (runs out 11 Dec), and although we've had a new boiler and dishwasher, we had a hell of a time whilst the boiler was being fitted and the dishwasher must have come from a different universe the amount time it took.
Dh had a look on Right Move and there are lots of 3 bed properties available in our area, so he emailed LA to ask about reducing the rent by £25 per month. LL agreed, so I asked about an 18 month contract as I really do not want to be moving just before Christmas of any year, and they've agreed!!
I wouldn't have even dreamt of doing this a year ago - so thank you people for putting these ideas into my head!
