I'm inferring that when you said that three people should be living there, that it's a one-bedroomed property. Is that correct? I ask this as I have a two-bedroomed flat and the maximum occupancy is five0

Read your tenancy agreement and tenant handbook. It is fairly common for a clause to be present that forbids extra occupants from living there, such as lodgers, and demands that the tenant seeks permission for this.0

What's the situation? Are there mitigating circumstances for you to have 5 people rather than 3 living there?Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0

in my agreement it says i am allowed to take in lodgers, but what i would like to know is that
the lodger works ....is actually a relative what would i be doing wrong in this case ...i am scared of being sent to prison/court0 -
Your response isn't very clear. You can take in lodgers, under most TAs but normally would have to ask permission and give details of who is living at the property to the HA. Are you claiming benefits?0

Someone has obviously reported that you have more then the limit in your ha property!!
As far as i`m aware you have to update any changes to the tenecy before having less or more tenants living in the property.
If i was you i would contact the Ha and speak with someone regarding the situation, if you ignore they may do a home visit unexpected.DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j
