United utilities are annoying me now
Since we moved into our house over a year ago.They are sending out people to confirm who pays the bill at the address and the house address. I must have given them this information about 10 times now and every time 3-4 weeks later they are back asking again .
.Can I refuse to give it next time ? Our bills are all paid so its nothing to do with that and they call to the neighbors also asking the same things .The latest one was this morning .

You don't have to give that information to anyone that calls at your door.
It's usually the opening gambit of salespeople since they know if they are not speaking with the bill payer, they are probably wasting their time.
I usually reply to such stupid questions with equally stupid answers such as "the person who is named on the bill"

call the gas supplier direct if they need proof get it from either land lord or you mortgage lender to send it recorded delivery to themI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

They are always asking about the house numbers as these used to be flats but were knocked for the houses. Ill ring them in the morning and ask what is going on.Thank you for the reply s.0
