Corsa stuttering !!
Options
Wifes 97(P) Corsa seems to stutter (like your taking your foot on and off the accelerator) when you hit about 60mph, it also does'nt seem to be nippy through the gears. It had a service about a month ago, so the plugs are OK, and I changed the HT leads the other day as they were arking (Defo thought this was the problem)
Any thoughts..............

It would seem that the supply of fuel has ran low, therefore sucking any crud up through the fuel lines, and perhaps causing a blockage in the system.
The moral of the story?
Don't wait for the light to come on,and keep plenty in the tank.
And if your car has an in-line fuel filter, replace it.That's my mutt in the picture above.0 -

My car is always very low on fuel (bad me!) but i have never had any problems with stuttering, with the exception of once when the fuel did totally run out!
If the fuel were low this would not cause stuttering as the fuel filter ensures the supply to the engine is clean and prevents crude going through, there’s something else wrong. It may be the fuel filter was old and blocked and not allowing fuel through, or could be a loose connection in the fuel area or some electric sensor had failed.0 -
