just received my final bill from british gas, £407 for both gas and elec!!, id only put aside £300, does anybody know if they offer a payment scheme to complete the account?

you can tell the provider that you don't that much money put aside but would be able to spread the cost over a few months. They are usually willing to let you pay off over, say, 10 months.0

I have recently experianced the very same problem from British Gas.
I swapped to a different supplier.
Good ridance to them though I say.

my new supplier is £20 a month cheaper, so its well worth the swap - once british gas have been paid

I have just got through to British Gas after trying unsuccessfully for two weeks, ~I wanted to complain about their massive bill, which I feel is totally unrealistic considering I had only paid the last one a feww weeks prev. Their phone system needs dumping, its totally useless and the joke is your ringing Customer services,but there is NO SUCH THING!
I have now dumped them and gone to a cheaper provider.
Why is it we pay Sooooo much for everything in this country, compared to other countries, we are just working to pay for essentials, not luxuries these days.0 -
i totally agree, especially when im employed by our stupid government, and my wages dont increase each time my utilities do!!!Helen
