I think of the wider implications, if the judges say that supposed legal documents are legal and enforceable despite being inaccurate, mislaid or ineligable where does that leave every other contract that businesses and individuals make.

If you rent a property for example and there is an omission or error does it become invalid. It opens up a whole can of worms if companies can draft contracts wrongly that the courts uphold.

  • Thus the result of the 12 test cases will help and set precedents for future DJ's.... ;)

    Hi N-I-D,

Do you know where we can find more details on the 12 test cases, i.e. what is being challenged and when exactly are the hearings etc?

    Thanks,

  • Thanks, I'd seen the first post, was just wondering if theree was any details about what elements of the CCA are being challenged and when a result is likely etc.

I'll have a look at the website of the company in the article and a wider search to see if I can find anything interesting.
