I'm sorry to hear that. Sometimes estate agents (note not all) have sloppy communication skills.

When I went to view my current place, I stood outside for ages waiting for the estate agent to turn up (late November - I didn't mind the cold but it was dark and I was standing outside people's homes. Luckily I look far from shifty). Called them up to find out where the agent was. Person on the line got a bit flustered and said he was on his way and would be there in 5 minutes. After about half an hour (and another phone call), someone eventually turned up. Agent whom I have never spoken to before got out of the car and said to me in surprise that the agent who I had been asking for wasn't in that day. Good job I called as I got the impression they were either about to close or this agent had had to be called from another location (or on his way home) to get there. The thing is, the no-show agent had persuade (badgered) me to leave work early that day for the viewing! Cut long story short, took the place and am loving it. Also don't have to deal with the agent as the place is managed by another company.

In case anyone wonders, I am absolutely sure I had got the date and time correct.

The agent who turned up was a bit bemused by the whole situation and didn't know much about the flat (said so himself) but did try his best to show me around and I think he thought I wouldn't take the place after that.
