Surely they cannot legally do that! Unless Tesco allows Franchises to use there name in which case suppose they can but if its own direct by Tesco the I'd write to head office and complain!

Yes they can, its their shop. Tescum have a national policy on coupons, but its up to each individual stores discretion whether the abide by it or not. This leads to much confusion amongst Tescum staff (which ultimately led to the change in coupon policy recently). All Tescum stores should have a national policy that they stick to. They won`t because they don`t give a fig about customer care.

  • Tesco in Leighton Buzzard told me that they didn't accept printed vouchers anymore, though the lady was kind enough to accept my voucher for a free loaf of bread because a bottle of milk leaked all over my shopping.

Waitrose in Berkhamsted accepted my Milka voucher.

    'Tescum' lol :)

  • Hovis has ended, they "cannot give out any more vouchers" but it only tells you this after you've submitted your email and went to print the coupon.

  • I took my voucher to tesco tonight and the guy on the till said that they didn't accept internet coupons, so I pointed out the sign by his checkout that said "We accept ANY coupon as long as you've bought the product" I had bought the Milka bar, the girl on the checkout behind said he could accept it as I had bought it, free Milka is mine!! :) It's displayed on every checkout, point it out, it doesn't say "any coupon except internet coupons"...
  • my milka (x2) were also accepted tonight although the offer of 2 for 1.50 has now gone!!!
  • I had issues with my Hovis printed voucher in Tesco in the end the queue was long and i said please get a manager, They accepted the voucher and said they would only do it this time due to fakes and copies.

Avoid Tescos if you have printed Vouchers.
