Bank Credits Overnights???

Im Not too sure where this post should go so hope I have put it in the right place!!!
A payment was sent by the Dss on Monday of the this week(5th June) by the Bacs service.
What I would like to know is Do banks credit Account friday nights in to saturday mornings??? (like midnight to 6am) as I still dont have this payment yet and now its Friday and I would have though it would have gone in.
