Hi,
I was wondering of someone might be able to tell me if i have any consumer rights with the above company.
I bought a digital photoframe off of redsave.com in December 2008. I have just checked my bank statement and noticed for the first time that they have been deducting £20 a month since then  Apparently they automatically sign you up for a 'free' 30 day special trial of their service. After the 30 days expire they begin deductions from your account.
I've found a number of posts on internet forums from other furious customers who have had the same problem. They've also said that Red Save are almost impossible to contact.
Any advice would be very welcome!!
Thanks

I've just clicked on "buy now" for an item (any one will do) and an invoice appears on the next screen. This has two items on it - the product I chose and a trial to the Redsave Pass, with the following description:-
1 x Free 30 Day RedSave Trial Pass Worth £19.95
Free for 30 days then £19.95 per month, cancel anytime More Info
Did this appear on your invoice when you ordered?Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
another one?
this will end up in one of two ways
1)pay up what you legally owe, cancel
2)continue to be arrogant to the contract and stand to lose moreBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
I've stupidly just bought a load of stuff from Redsave for christmas, seduced by the low prices.
I did know about the "redsave pass" though, and my intent is to cancel the subscription within the 30 day trial period (hanging on till i receive all my stuff). I think they must have changed the wording on the website recently to make it clearer because of all the hoo-ha over it.
lex_brooks_1: I recon all you can do is cancel asap via the website - it's a losing battle otherwise.
Only now have I seen that redsave is notoriously one of the most dodgy websites ever!! There's also horror stories of people not receiving their items and not getting refunds. The only reason i found it is because it's on topcashback.com which i use regularly. I'll wait and see if i get my stuff, but even if i do and everything turns out fine when i cancel my subscription, i'll still NEVER be using the site again. Too dodgy for words, just don't go there! I'm living in hope becasue i'm scraping the barrel as it is without half my money going in redsave's back pocket as well!0 -
If you price check via Google Shopping you don't get the warnings about a £19.95 subscription payment. This is a most disreputable company that clearly makes much of its money out of tricking its customers.0
