Fomated Laptop And Cannot Install Xp Pro Now. Help Needed

Hi
I just got a IBM 600e laptop.
Stuck a xp pro disk in it, done a format.
Started the install of xp and it gets to 34 min left then i get a blue screen that says
" your computer(bios) has reproted that a component in your system is faulty and prevented windows from operating. Run diagnostic disk or tool that come with your computer.
I have tried another xp disk and the same.
Anyone offer any help?

I think you can press F8 to run diagnostics.

Nice one Chippy. Found out it was the battery from your link.
Removed this and installed Xp fine.
Online with it now.
