granite floor tiles, whats the minimum thickness that you would have.

    Can I but in and ask if the galaxy black granite shows marks as much? I fancied that for our main bathroom, but with three messy children who use it, I'm not so sure now!

    Galaxy has more of grain and a fleck so it disguises marks a little better.

    But it's still a polished black granite, so will require regular cleaning to keep it looking nice and shiny.

    The heavier a grain in the stone the less it shows marks, also the lighter colours show less as they tend to be grained and light.

    Thanks - will remember that when we start to look for tiles after Christmas. Currently at the ideas brewing stage :D

    missus has said she will clean them but i'm sure shes going to get fed up doing that every minute, we have three young children aswell. perhaps a white or cream to match the corian worktops might be better...
