My OH has been on DLA Care: Middle and Mobility: Lower for 2 years.
The DLA award is until summer 2011.
There has been a major change in their health and circumstances have changed too. For the worse.
Should we leave the DLA until the renewal date and hope it gets moved into the higher rate bracket or shall we contact the CAB/DWP and ask for some more forms as the circumstances have changed?
I did read somewhere that you run the risk of the original decision (back in 2007) being superseeded by what could be the lower rates...?
Any ideas, thoughts or help, ta!

You are correct, the decision may be increased or decreased (or stay the same) if you ask for a review.
Although their condition has changed, have their care and mobility needs changed?Gone ... or have I?0 -
Both needs have changed equally.0

You need to contact cab or welfare rights or Dial, any of these will help you decide what if any risk there is to the existing award, but the differences between mid rate care and higher rate care, and lower rate mobility and higher are quite significant0
