I'll use my Apple USB charger so I don't get this problem. Wii is way out of guarantee now (and seriously under-used apart from the odd drunken AC/DC Guitar Hero nights!):rotfl:

Just order two as we can then update all our family's remotes. If the Wii aint on they can be plugged into a normal USB charger

To be honest thats no different to Microsoft or Sony response to the same thing. Any non licenced product used with a console could (if they knew) be used as an excuse not to repair any console. I know my 360 has the same dire warnings about using non official prodiuct on it.
