Hi, thanks to the Very code I have got myself an Epson Sx215 all-in-1 printer. I have bought the colour and black ink, but for the future, do I need to have colour, I doubt I'll be printing nothing but text normally? Thanks:beer:

How much did you get it for, my local computer shop is doing them for £50.
With most of the epsons, say if one of the colour catridges ran out and all you wanted to print was just normal black text, it would come up as an error and wouldnt let you print even if the black cartridge was fullAnd yes the lady in the avatar is me

Hi, thanks for the reply, I thought I must have asked a daft question, lol...
I have copied the link below from very.co.uk... on the discounts and codes board, there is a £30 off a £60 spend, I got the printer which was on sale at £59 so, I have more or less got my ink for free, (this time)!!
Black ink, £10, multi pack £29...

Look on ebay for cheap replacement ink carts, once you see the price (under £1 each!) you probably won't care that you need them

OP, you should have brought a laser printer. Sorry, but no inks to buy just perfect B/W prints every time. No ink purging at each power cycle either (on/off).
That's £1315.26 per litre for inks in the coming years for you. Good price.
Sorry !0 -

i had that very same problem with my old printer an hp.
if any colour ran out it wouldn't print till you replaced the empty one.
i went to staples and they had no cyan colour in,so i went to cartridge world in grimsby and bought an epsom printer/scanner for £50.00 and they said it will still print if a colour runs out and the refills are only £5 compared to £28 for the hp inkjet.they gave me four new inks with it as well0 -
Your answer is in your question. You don't need to go for color printer because you are working with only text.0

If you don't use the colour it's not going to run out is it?0
