never believe RM's delivery time unless guaranteed.
I mean why do you think an item is not considered lost until 15 days LOL
  • Came today, 8 or 9 days after payment. Left positive feedback but mentioned slowish delivery and put 2 stars out of 5 on the rating for delivery. Thanks everyone

Delivery time isn't down to the seller though surely ...?
As long as they posted it when they stated I don't see any reason to mention delivery time in the feedback.

Cause people are like that. If they want something posted quicker/delivered quicker, why not enquire before bidding?

I don't understand. There are no stars for delivery. It's not an option. You can leave stars for dispatch time but not delivery time. Did you check the post mark to see when it was actually posted?
  • Like I said, s/he didn't mark it as dispatched at all, so he could have sent it at any time in the last 9 days.

Stated he would send within a day of receiving payment, if he'd put it as dispatched in the first couple of days then I would have assumed postal problems, but it's more likely they didn't send it off in time, and didn't want to mark it as dispatched like 3 days late.

Rain smudged the stamp/s so I can't read it properly.

I didn't want it to be delivered quicker, I wanted in four or five days and I assumed 2nd class would be fine for that. I just think 9 days is a little much

Likewise he could have marked it as despatched and then not sent it for a week - I don't usually remember to click the dispatched button, but always post quickly.. it doesn't mean anything... and i'm betting a massive proportion of private ebay sellers don't know of its existence or don't realise it shows at your end.

Essentially you're guessing that its his fault, when it could just as likely be royal mail's, given the recent problems.

But if he doesn't say the item's dispatched then you have to assume he hasn't dispatched it yet.. it could have been the RM's fault, so I left a positive anyway, just mentioned the delivery was "slowish" and it would have been a lie to give him a good mark for dispatch time IMO.

The seller is a company selling multiple items not a private seller, so they should really know where the dispatch button is. If they'd put dispatched in the first couple of days, I would've assumed RM problems and not his, but he didn't

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree
