Would you request their details?

On Thuesday evening I sold an item which was paid for on Wednesday morning by PayPal.

It's a heavy item, and I tried to arrange the courier yesterday and they've changed their booking system to ask for a telephone number for the recipient. I emailed yesterday morning to let my buyer know, but I haven't heard back from her. She's a newbie, so probably doesn't log on every day (she's only bid on my item).

I don't want to hang on to the item as she's paid, but I can't arrange a collection without her number.

Would you just wait until she get's back to me? Or, would you get hold of her details from Ebay (and send an email to her to explain why).

I could use another courier, but that would leave me out of pocket on the P&P.

I'd call up her details but check the phone number is valid before giving it to the courier company.

Thanks Soo. Would you just ring her to let her know what's going on?

Yeah, I would phone her to check that the number is actually valid and also explain to her what is happening.

If she's a newbie then chances are she isn't like the rest of us who log onto eBay everyday so she may not get to read your message.

I was thinking the same about her logging on. Her email address is hotmail too, so I doubt she checks that very often (and I've got a feeling that ebay messages end up in the junk!).

I'll give her a ring later.

    Thanks for your help!

Updated: I've just checked and she left two bids on other items yesterday. One in the afternoon and one in the evening. That's a bit odd!

It would be my luck to do this and some problem happen which would result in the parcel not being delivered!

    Things would just get ugly!!!
