right i checked - the yeast packed i have had for donkeys is Allisons Easy bake yeast 125g for £1.53
Before i got this, for the BM I used to use the sachets of Allison yeast - 6x7g sachets and it was around 80p from memory . Can't find a pic online to see what kind of yeast it was, but it was in a bland olive kind of coloured box and I only ever got it in the co op.
Ah yes Yummy, you are down South. I don't know why I assumed you were accross the water (and I remember the day you started posting on here, realising we were the same side of the water!)
if there are ever any items I can post you down, don't be afraid to ask and we can sort something out! So if you buy one packet of yeast and find it's brilliant, we can always organise me posting you some down (providing you send me some southern Tayto in exchange) :rotfl:
When's the trip?
There is a scoopamarket in East Belfast - again it would be worth pricing per 100g before hand, so if you are interested their details are

I have a cookworks breadmaker. At first I tried using some Allisons Dried Active yeast, and found my bread was a bit heavy. I switched to Doves quick yeast, and my loaves have been really light and fluffy. It is a lot cheaper than Allisons, and hasn't got any unnecessary additives. I keep it in the cupboard in an old Allison tub.0

I bought a breadmake about a month ago, and already had a tub of allinson yeast, but it says on the side that it can't be used in machine so make sure you read the tin first!0
