What are my rights with this company?

I had blinds fitted to the whole of my house in February 2008. I paid 50% deposit, but they must have measured incorrectly because some of the blinds did not fit the windows. They left gaps so you can see through the wall to the outside! A lot of them have kind of sunk in the middle, and loads of them are held in with pieces of cardboard.
I called the company, numerous times wrote to them twice but just got ignored.
They are now trying to get the rest of the money from me, but I have since moved house!
They are saying it is not their fault that they now cannot receify my complaints, but surely 21 months is enough time for me to wait?
Does anyone know what my rights are please!

im really really sorry but i cannot see any reason why you should not pay, legally anyways
orally i am on your side but if they have made a mistake they must be allowed to rectify it and although you wrote to them, you should have taken more decisive and firmer action to get it sorted sooner.
if required you should have gone to court
as you didnt
you accepted the goods as they were and they are legally entitled to their money
i dont like saying it but its not something you should wait for them to resolve, push it through yourself. maybe a firm but polite letter could get a discount?Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Did you buy them on credit? Why didnt you notice they didnt fit the day they fitted them.0

Sorry but you left it far too long to refuse to pay. Any claim would be hindered by the fact you cant prove anything having moved ( I assume you either left the blinds or couldnt get access to prove they dont fit) additionally any court would ask why you didnt reject the blinds and demand a refund.0
