advice please - making an offer
Want to put an offer in on a house which has a bit of land on it
(0.125 acre) . Really want the property and it would allow me to work from home.
Property price £250k other houses in road are selling for £160k to £170k without land so think the price is a bit high. Would be happy to pay £230k to £235k
1.do you think this offer seems reasonable, have been reading 20k under asking price of £250k is about right?
2. Or could we get it valued ourselves and then put an offer in?

Just put the offer in - a house is worth no more or no less than the person wanting to buy it offers and the seller wants to accept.
Ask the EA how long its been up for and how many viewings its had - that will give you an indication of how much interest its had and also ask if its always been on at that price or if its had a reduction.
