Mobility query

A neighbour of mine is receiving DLA, and was told she could be entitled to something called Motobility or Mobility (Cant remember which one) but she doesnt drive.
She was told that it may be possible for the scheme to allow her daughter to receive driving lessons to drive the car on her behalf.
Any truth in that? If so, any info?

It depends on her getting the upper mobility component of DLA, it is possible to get lessons paid for , for someone to transport her. You would need to speak to motability http://www.motability.co.uk/

If she qualifies for the mobillity componet of DLA then she will be entitled to free driving lessons from Motabillity. Not sure though if it would cover the daughter but her daughter can be a second driver on the insurance policy free a third person would have to pay £75 for the year.0
