Thermocouple: How much to fix it

Options
Pilot light goes off after few minutes in our boiler, my husband thinks that it may need new Thermocouple. I want some idea as to how much would it cost to fix this problem.

I know our boiler is a attic and is quite old but i don't the make and a model it is.

Thanks

Ours went a year or so back and was around £35 but a mate(Qualified) fitted it.

I expect it could be a whole variety of other things as well. Get a heating engineer (one on gas safe register) to investigate and make sure your husband doesn't mess with it! I'd avoid the fixed cost repair deals for the reasons i outlined here (not typing all that again!)
