    Hi and welcome.

There is no harm doing what you did, but did you also write a letter about reclaiming ppi?
Mostly its done in writing, so if you have not done this, write a letter and write something like "I understand as from Monday 23 November, you are investigating my complaint on the Payment Protection Insurance, due to my reasons of XXXXX XXXXXX XXXXXX and so on.
Tell them you look forward to hearing from them by 8 weeks as from this date.
I would also check on the link below that will give you more ideas on reclaiming the PPI:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
You will find PPI reclaiming letter templates and a list of mis selling reasons which they require in order to investigate.

We always suggest by keeping it in writing, keeping copies and you have this in evidence then in case you need to refer to the financial ombudsman service, for example if they did not resolve in your favour.

Hope this helps, if you not given them a letter then do so if you can by covering yourself, and post it by recorded delivery, so that you also have the receipt as proof and know they have received it.

Hope they resolve this for you soon, good luck;)

Thank you for the advice. The bank did say that they would get in touch within 24 hrs. I will forward a letter, like you advised, if they dispute my claim. Fingers crossed for little me. Thank you vv much

    Your welcome.;)
Hopefully they will get back within 24 hours, fingers crossed.
You could wait to see if they come back with a result first, and take it from there with the letter if you want to. Fingers crossed, look forward to hearing the outcome and hope its a good one.;)
