OH & I were in Belfast at the weekend and it was Packed (Well I think so anyway) OH & I stayed in the a Hotel for the Night and it too was booked out according to the lady on reception..... LOADS of Southern Shoppers up.... Obviously up for the cheaper items for Christmas but seriously.. i thought there was a recession on!!!

Town and cities throughout the land will be busy, as usual, at this time of the year. People still need to 'do Christmas', but I suspect most will be doing so on a greatly reduced budget.................hence the reason for so many 'Southern Shoppers' wanting theirs to stretch as far as possible.0

This is where the credit card is brought out and !!!!!! the recession. Loads of shops have sales on which is encouraging people to come out. I was in House of Fraser with a friend, she was doing the buying not me. The ladies changing rooms where full of English women trying on stuff.
The Southers are up every weekend because of the euro is strong.
Debenhams had up to 25% off in store.
SpaceNK had 20% discount if you had the voucher printed. I did and gave it to a friend to use.0 -
If people don't spend the recession won't go away ... anyways recession and a local is staying in a city centre hotel0
