Not true in the slightest, Gambling is a form of entertainment for the large majority of people Its only bad if you become addicted to it and lose the control to stop. As long as you don't chase any losses and can keep control then this way of gambling is essentially no risk. The only people i would try and discourage are people that are in debt down to gambling.

Does the tracking on quidco show up straight away? I signed up for the free kitten meal via whiskas for whatever and it said I would get 95p...it is not showing up on my transactions...

I think we need to be a bit careful about the betting sites - I have just been browsing through several of them to see if it looks as good as you were all saying - at least one of them says that anyone playing the minimum then withdrawing cash and closing the account will not qualify for the cash back!! A couple of others seemed to be implying something similar without actually spelling it out. Worst case is to make the bets and then find the cashback is withdrawn - we could be SERIOUSLY out of pocket here.£2 saver club £16 so far!! - it's growing!!! :j

Well so far i have not spent one single penny on Quidco and made over £30 minus the £5 admin fee and i walk away with £25 and lots of free entertainment so i am very happy so far.
I am always on there having a look at what is on offer but sometimes the tracking is a bit of a problem.
Can't say i have ever looked into the bingo and gambling sites, at the moment i am trying to make as much as possible without spending anything, not a great risk taker:oSuccess means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash

I discovered quidco last month and in one night I earned £110 quid.
I opened an A + L current account ( was looking to change anyway) and got fifty quid. I signed up for loads of other free subscriptions and things ( even wrote down all the dates i needed to cancel. I changed my phone provider to a cheaper company ( again I was looking to change to this company anyway). All I spent was £10 for a bingo deposit and I get £30 back for that.
Not bad for an hour or so.
PS For anyone else that has also opened an A + L account pop over onto the referrals board and people there will refer you on the A + L referral offer and you could get another £45 quid too.
Don't knock ot till you've tried it0 -

If you look at each merchant, on the left hand side it tells you the tracking speed. Most will show up within 24 hours!0 -

Yeah you definately need to read the T&C's! Also to be able to withdraw their bonuses quite often you have to play through your original stake £25 times or so. What I'm doing is opening the account and depositing and playing the required amount then leaveing the account open until I get paid by quidco.0 -
If only I had the guts to go on the gambling sites - but I am too scared! It seems too complicated and well my parents are both die hard gamblers and I don't want to get sucked in. But then when I went to Las Vegas - I limited myself to one dollar and to be honest it turned me cold! There is so much to do there besides gambling - i.e. a chocolate factory where they give you free chocs!!"Debt makes plans for you" - A quote from my friend Catherine. How true!0

I may be wrong, but I think what you're looking at here is the bonuses that some bingo sites give to you for making a minimum deposit and playing it through. In all the sites I've seen, they won't let you withdraw your bonus as cash. However, these are completely seperate from the cashback that you get through cashback sites such as Quidco.
I have played through a number of these bingo deals via Quidco, and I have always received my cashback. However, I guess there is always the chance that your transaction won't track properly, so my advice would be to never gamble more than you can afford to lose on these sites - just in case.
As other people have said on the thread, when you go onto these sites, you can see how easy it would be to get sucked in and spend more money than you need to. They're really good fun! But I was also kinda shocked to hear in the chatrooms how much some people were betting every day.
The cashback deals are great, and I would fully recommend them. But go into them with a clear plan of what you're going to spend (ie the minimum needed to get the cashback) and stick to it. If you know you're the kind of person who might find it too much fun - don't do it!0 -
I've gone through all the bingo sites that pay cash now I think ( apart from astro bingo as the small print made it sound dodgy.I haven't done the percentage ones as you're only going to get back what you put in.I have only ever withdrawn £12 as winnings, I never won enough on any of them to make it worth withdrawing,I only put the basic £10 in, but I've had a good few nights fun, and made money through quidco.
i could imagine it could be seriously addictive though if you let it....might risk another tenner when i'm debt free!0
