I Missed it! I waited to check with the OH that we could afford one( little boy LOVES Buzz!) and just been on Amazon, and it's back to full price
Does anyone know if he's on sale anywhere else please?
x
He's at Tesco direct but for £49.97. Also John Lewis but for £49.95. Keep an eye on Amazon, they've been increasing and decreasing the price for the last couple of weeks - he might go down againYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that
Proud to be BSC no. 1030 -
Well, the one I ordered from Amazon doesn't have the moving head.
It does however have a slightly different box with a 'Try Me' sticker next to the hole where the buttons can be pressed. Which makes me wonder if the Amazon one is originally in 'Demo Mode'
My original Buzz from Tesco didn't have this sticker, but his head does move from side to side. So maybe the Tesco isn't originally in 'Demo Mode'. On closer inspection though after comparing the Tesco and Amazon boxes, the box of the one from Tesco appears to have been opened previously (sellotape on top sellotape if you know what I mean).
The one from Amazon is brand new. You can just tell by looking at it. Only his head doesn't turn.
Just wondering if the Amazon one is actually in 'Demo Mode'.
How do you turn the 'Demo Mode' on/off.
Anyone know?0 -
Woolworths have these at £50 but there is a '£30 off £60 spend for new customers' code on the Discount Codes and Vouchers forum. So if you can find anything else you want for £10, you get £30 off and just pay £30 - it kind of only makes Buzz £20 assuming you want the £10 thing. (Lucky me, I bought something my mother in law has already asked me to buy on her behalf and she will give me the £10.)
Thought this would help anyone whos missed the amazon discount.0 -
Oooh, i shall try that- thanks!!0

Thanks for that I Just got the woody (£40) & Buzz (£50) from Woolworths.co.uk with the £30 off voucher & free Delivery so worked out at £60 in total, or £30 each...very happy with that!!
For those with the non moving head, are you sure you have the right one, the one I saw in Tesco was £34.99 and was not the same one they have on amazon/woolies/disney store etc for £49.99??0 -

Unfortunately both of mine are the same!
The two Buzz figures I bought (Amazon and Tesco) both look identical and also have the same barcode.0 -

I opened the Amazon Buzz to check and true enough, the flippin' head doesn't turn.
You do have to switch Buzz from 'Demo', see manual extract:
However, this did not enable head movement.:(
Been in touch with Amazon for info regarding return/replacement.0 -

You have to completely unpack it and the switch is located under the torso - it's not a job for someone with big fingersEat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

The Amazon one was actually in demo mode, whereas the Tesco one can't have been as it makes all the whoosh/swoosh sounds when moved around.
However, the Tesco one seemed to be a 'Repack'.
Maybe a returned when the original buyer realised they'd come on a 3 for 2 offer.
Anyhow, it feels second hand to me.
To make matters worse, Amazon replied to say they have none left to replace it with (Market Place sellers only).0
