Virgin Money mystery interest charges!

I have a Virgin Card which has an interest free period until the June 2010 statement

I have been charged £1.49 interest even though I am still in my promotional period and pay more than the minimum amount.

I also noticed that I had an extra 150 pound payment made by uk debit pay and then that was reversed?????

Has anyone got a clue what the hell is going on as I am also due to be charged another £1.80 in interest for next month????!!!!!!!

  • Are you certain that this promotion is 0% or interest free? I've noticed a recent offer on their website for 0.9% until June 2010.

Yes 100% as thats the only promo offer I have taken up!!!! Very baffled as to why the interest charge for next month has increased also!!!!

I know its pittance but its the principle of the matter!!!!
  • Stupid question but tried asking them?
Credit card and overdraft at 18. 2 loans and 3 storecards at 20. University education flushed down the toilet through debt at 22. Car finance at 23. Car repossessed at 24. Rock bottom at 25. Learnt my lesson 26-33. Now 34 with a mortgage on an affordable house, a car paid for with cash and a bank account in credit. I learnt the hard way.

The interest charge relates to the purchase transaction you made.
Unfortunately, the credit/refund pays the balance transfer balance and not the purchase transaction, even though they are both the same amount/company.

    Sorry not you
I meant to say the purchase that was on the statement (UK Debit Pay)
If this was fraud they have to refund the interest as well

The reversal of payment has gone to the erong interest rate. Last month, some customers had two payments listed on their account, although only one was made - these were reversed, but the added funds when on at the standard interest rate. Virgin are aware and sorting the problem out. However, might as well give them a c all to push them along.
