The same problem happened with me too, when I was going to buy house for me and it took a lot time. The problem is with my signature. There was a good match but on some documents there was no match.0

For First Time Buyers looking to keep the costs down, Yorkshire Building Society have a package for people with a 10% Deposit.
The Deal includes £500 cashback on completion, a years free Buildings and Contents insurance, free valuation (i paid an extra £200 for a hombuyers report) free money transfer fee and free Conveyancing (this does not include the cost of searches but is saving me £300.)
Therefore, other than the deposit itself, i am only having to pay out around £500 in fees.
No product fee or higher lending charge either!0 -
I was just wandering if someone could give some advice with regards to a mortgage for first time buyers for a part ownership house.
My partner and I have been successfully in an application for a part ownerships house for 25% worth £42500.
We now need to get a mortgage, however we both are in education and we do not have permanent contracts. I have a fixed term contract which I started in September this year, this is for six months. My partner is a variable hour lecture and waitress she also works part time full time. Although we have both been doing the job titles consciously for just under two years
We would be able to have guarantors who are mortgage payment free. We also have a deposit of between 10-15% and have a good credit score rating.
As we both do not have permanent contracts but are in education what do you think the likely hood of us getting a mortgage is and could you recommend any where?

Hi everyone,
my partner and i have approached the landlord of the house we are living about buying it from him. He has said he wants 130k, we have got a deposit of 13k.
Does anyone know of some good fixed rate mortages? We have got a young child and I work part-time, my other half works full time. I dont want to go back to work full time until our daughter is bigger but am not sure if anyone would give us a mortgage because of this. I have not got the best credit rating but it has been on the up for the last 2 years, my other halfs is good though.
Also i was wondering if the mortage company would take into account that we have lived here for over year and paid all bills and rent on time? monthly rent £480, i doubt that we'd get a mortgage anywhere near that but £600 pcm is about our limit.x
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.x0 -
Hey! Please help. I currently live with my boyfriend. We pay £500 a month to rent our two bedroom flat (a lot for our area as it is fully furnished) but I feel trapped as I am over £6000 in debt, and he is over £10,000 in debt. Although we earn good money(myself about £16,000, him about £27,000), we have terrible credit history and I do not kow what to do for the best as I don't like the idea of paying off someone else's mortgage for them. What should we do? ThanksSealed Pot Challenge 7 (2014) #1851

My advice is to use this site for what it's best at - giving tons and tons of fab support and advice for reducing and eliminating debts. Then seek a mortgage. You will need a deposit anyway and there is no point in saving for a deposit when you have debts accruing interest. See the Debt-Free Wanabee section
EDIT: sorry just read your sig and you are already well on the way! I don't know what else you can do though. I have given up on the idea of a mortgage at all for the time being (still saving) as I don't earn enough for a mortgage.Weight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0
