does anyone know if there is a maximum set limit they will charge or is it just 3% of what you transfer?

It is 3% or £75 max. I was offered 7.9% on BT then when I said I'd go else where I was offered 1.9%.0

according to their website at the moment, its 9 months at 0%0

It is 3% of what you transfer or a maximum of £75.
I think there are much better cards to have though if you have a good credit rating etc.0 -

Not always the case, if you are a new customer who has signed up in the last year or so for an MBNA card then it is 3% with no max. If you applied before then you will more than likely have a 3% with a £75 cap.0 -
Ive had the card a few years now.0

Hi Skipton,
I'm about to apply for MBNA c.c. and do BT online.
Did you apply in branch (if there is any) or online? I'm worried a bit about the BT fee as the amount of money I want to transfer is prety high.
Thanks,

Taj,
As I said already, if you check the t's and c's online MBNA now have a 3% with no max on most of their cards. Check it throughly before signing up.0 -
It depends on what offer they give you.
I have had some cheques that state 0% until March 2007 statement with a 2% BT fee.0 -
I had a card with a £9,000 limit ( i owed £5,000). I was paying 1.9% which was due to run out on June 20th. I applied for a Liverpool FC Credit Card (MBNA), not expecting to get it, it came through with a £2,000 limit at 0% for 9 months. I added my remaining limit of £4,000 (£9.000- £5,000) on old card to give me a limit of £6,000 on new card.
I then transferred (BT) £5,000 to my Current account, It cost me 2% NOT 3%. I then used this money to pay of my other MBNA card and then transferred another £4,000 credit limit to my new card giving me £10,000 on my new one and keeping £1,000 on my older one for any special offers.
If you aren't great at paying back your debts they are a god send, you pay back £5 plus interest which for me is £5 !
To put this £5,000 on my Cap one card would cost me £150 per month, bit to much for me at the monent.
So, I think MBNA are great and I love playing this game, I've not paid more than 2% interest on cards for over 3 years ! My credit rating is excellent and fingers crossed I've never been turned down---not bad for a postman!nothing.0
