cash from credit cards

After messing about with online gambling scratchcards etc, I noticed one of the sites I used takes the deposit from your credit card, but when you withdraw it it puts it in your bank. I have a 0% credit card, which is a reward card do you think I could deposit the remaining available credit, to the gambling site withdraw it to my bank and earn some interest on the cash, and also get the reward points on the credit card, or just that just sound dumb or illegal or something? Then pay of the balance in full next year when it becomes due.

Gambling is normally considered a cash advacne and not a purchase (I'm guessing you have free purchases).

Sorry, but I think it's a no go.
