I've noticed that a few times too.
I think it's for when someone who sees the first offer tells someone else who then can't quite remember what it was.
Example:
You see the muller corners on offer at 4 for £1, you tell a friend or work colleague about the offer. The next week said friend/colleague goes into Morrisons and remembers you said their offer on muller corners was good. They spot muller corners with a special offer sign on them, but it says 4 for £2. They don't notice, all that is in their mind is they were told by a trusted person that muller corners are on a good special offer. They see the special offer sign grab some without checking that the offer is the same.
It also catches people who bought it at 4 for £1 and then see the special offer sign and assume it is the same offer.0 -

I went into Morrison's on Sunday and bought Patterson's shortbread for 99p reduced from £1.99 but went back today to another branch and couldn't see any.
Do the offers finish on Sunday ?0 -

No.This is not always the case.In a lot of instances the products that they put on the BIG offers are generally on offer all the time anyway. For example the mullers that you mention are on permanent multisave in the system along with the rice and lights. The permanent offer is 4 for £2.Therefore the offers sometimes supercede the ones already on.The mullerlights that were on 12 for £2 last week are now on 6 for £2 to help clear stock and will then revert to 4 for £2 next week.By the way I'm a fresh food manager in there not just a sad shopper haha:rotfl::rotfl:
Hope this Helps0 -

Re the Muller yogurts, this happens in most, if not all of the big supermarkets. I've been caught out in Tesco the week after a 8 or 10 for £2 offer when the bright eyecatching labels are still there but only 6 or 4 for £2. (or 4 for £1 then next week 4 for £2). Admittedly it's all buyer beware, but I think they prey on busy people who don't have time to read everything and know they got a good deal last week so assume it's the same offer this week.
It's only a game
