Do Morrisons' deals change on a certain day like Tesco change on a Wednesday?

Has anyone noticed this about their local morrisons?

About two weeks ago I noticed my local morrisons stopped reducing their in store baked bread. I live about a 30 second walk from Morrisons, and usually go in late to pick up reduced items, but even 10 minutes before closing time the bread wasn't being reduced.

Then yesterday I went in at about 11.00 am and right at the front of the store was a stand with their in store baked bread (800g) at a special price of 50p. So I grabbed a couple of loaves.

Then today I went in at about 2.30 pm and the stand was there again, £1 loaves at a special price of 50p. They don't have a reduced sticker on them, the actual label says "Special Price 50p"

But on both days when I went to the actual bakery section the same loaves were priced at £1.

Then I figured out what it was. All the loaves at the special price of 50p were slightly damaged, corners chipped off and dents etc.

Looking back, when they used to reduce the £1 loaves to 39p, then down to 20p, they were always slightly damaged.

So I think that people buying loaves at £1 each have been picking out the perfect ones and leaving the damaged one. These damaged ones were getting reduced to 39p then 20p at the end of the day.

But now the shop has started picking them out during the day and selling them for the "Special Price of 50p" and not reducing any perfect loaves that are left at the end of then day.

So now they are selling the loaves, they used to sell at the end of the day for 39p, during the day for 50p.

Got to admire the person who thought of that, but I can hate him at the same time. :D

Can't say I've noticed any change in the way they are selling bread in my local store but I'll keep a look out! They have a big trolley with shelves which is always parked in a certain area of the bakery section where all the reduced stuff is put.
