Yes I saw this too yesterday, usually I only hear about these after I've got back from my weekly shop so am always kicking myself for mising the good deals. As Valli found, lots of other people had also seen this one as I took 3 of the last 4 left on the shelf - I couldn't bear to take the last one! It's 500g and 35p. Strange - I would otherwise have bought the value pack as even at 39p it's a good price for such a useful product.

I find Morrisons are one of the worst supermarkets where items are placed in the wrong section and it isn't until you get home to find they have charged you much more than you expected.

I agree with that, they use "M" to signify their own brand so the ticket on the shelf says "M" peas 30p, but the peas on the shelf are not Morrisons own brand, they are another brand costing 59p.

When it opened 1.5 years ago I thought it was just mistakes by the youngsters they employ, but now I think it is the shops policy as the mistakes are never the other way round. The item on the shelf is cheaper than the tickets says, that is.
  • Popped in to Morrisons today for a few things - got the jaffa cakes, head & shoulders shampoo on special offer. I wanted beans, but the very small area :naughty: they had for beans was empty so they'd run out. However Heinz beans were on special offer, 2 x 4packs - ie 8 tins for £2.50 - thought others might prefer Heinz and be willing to pay the extra 50p.

  • A few weeks ago I posted a deal about the John West tuna being £2, well last week I called in to see what was around and the exact same tuna (4 cans) was over £5.

I think some things are overpriced to make allowances for the better deals.

However I too also benefitted from the leftover mothers day soup - 37p a carton, was told by staff near the soup it was reduced to 15p, however when I got to checkout and after much fannying around with the self scan I decided that even paying 37p a carton, it was still a snip :)

    IIRC the 30p salad weighs 110g .
They also have different, but equally nice if not better, salad for 50p for 200g.
