will be in twickenham/london on the 11th dec thru 13th what to do ?

hi i will be going to london for the weekend. on the above dates. i saw that Jimmy Carr was in the appolo however i cannot find tickets on ticket master.

any ideas what we can go and see or do. we do like stand up. and eating out. not really into musicals though.

Stewart Lee is on at the Leicester square theatre on the 11th and 12th. You can book via his website or via www.ticketweb.co.uk and there are loads of comedy clubs you could try such as the covent garden comedy club.

If you don't fancy venturing into town, you could stay local and spend some time at Hampton Court Palace. They'll have the ink rink by then so you could have a skate and look around the palace. Check out Richmond Theatre and see what going on. Kingston have a few comedy clubs and I know some of the big names do a trial run before their tours in the clubs. (sorry, don't know the names - you'll hvae to google)

Or how about a ballet at the Royal Opera House? The Nutcracker is on over xmas. I took my OH to see Swan Lake a couple of years ago and although he's not really into ballet he really enjoyed it. Go on try it! I think theres a christmas market in covent garden too.. so you could start with some mulled wine.

Jamie Oliver has a eating place in Kingston just down the road from Twickenham. I believe its very popular and last I heard you couldnt pre-book. There is a theatre as well called the Rose I have no idea whats on but google will be your friend........

If you want to stay local to Twickenham on the Sat night there's the Bearcat Comedy Club in St. Margarets - just Google it for listings of who's on.
