Optima Plus Alarm Problem

My security system is controlled by an Optima Plus control panel (three actually). For some reason when I input my four digit code a letter P is now appearing and after a few seconds it defaults to stand by. I have looked up manuals for the Optima Plus but they are all for Optima Plus 2 which has a fourdigit display, mine only shows a single digit at a time. How can I reset the system.
