first:utility - Anybody have any feedback??

I am in the process of looking at energy providers with an eye towards switching. The Simply Switch web site has first:utility listed at the top of the pile. I have not heard of these guys before and apparently Energy Watch is not supplying complaint figures for them. Anybody have any experience with these guys, good or bad??

    Energy watch doesn't supply anything any more - they were disbanded over 12 months ago. FU may not have any customer service history as they are a fairly new & small supplier.

  • I am in the process of switching at the moment to First Utility. Elecy done, gas should be done next week. They work by email to keep you in touch with the process just make sure you tell your email client that it is not junk.

    One thing I like is that when I called them the automated message said they were busy would I like to leave a message so that they would call me back. I did and they did call me back. What a very pleasant surprise from my previous supplier.

    I see they have gone down to a 1 star rating on Energyhelpline, that cant be good, dont think I've seen them give any company 1 star before!
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
