Going from fun trivia I got "According to Wikipedia, there are 22 "official" James Bond films, including Quantum of Solace, together with two "unofficial" Bond films - Casino Royale with David Niven and Never Say Never Again, with Sean Connery"
so maybe 24?2010 challenge A.B.C.D.[STRIKE]E.[/STRIKE]F.G.H.I.J.[STRIKE]K[/STRIKE].L.M.N.O.P.Q.[STRIKE]R[/STRIKE].S.T.U.V.W.X.Y.Z

The Casino Royale from 1954 was a TV episode, therefore NOT a film. Taken from wikipedia:
"In 1954, CBS paid Ian Fleming for the rights to adapt Casino Royale into a one hour television adventure as part of their Climax! series. However, Barry Nelson played a CIA agent named Jimmy Bond, Clarence Lieter was a British agent played by Michael Pate and Peter Lorre was Le Chiffre."
Never Say Never was a remake of Thunderball, albeit unofficial:
"A legal loophole allowed Kevin McClory to release a remake of Thunderball titled Never Say Never Again in 1983. The film, featuring Sean Connery as Bond, is not considered an "official" James Bond film because it is not part of the Bond film franchise from EON Productions and United Artists, although it is currently owned by United Artists parent MGM. Its original theatrical release in October 1983 actually created a situation in which two Bond movies were playing in cinemas at the same time, as the "official" EON Bond film, Octo!!!!! was still playing in cinemas. Since then, MGM has bought the name "James Bond", preventing a repeat of this episode."
Casino Royale with David Niven in the title role, another unofficial film:
In 1967, Casino Royale was adapted into a spoof Bond film starring David NivenUrsula Andress as Vesper Lynd. David Niven, had, in fact, been Ian Fleming's preference for the part of James Bond.[38] EON Productions, however, chose Sean Connery. David Niven is the only James Bond actor who is mentioned by name in the text of two of Fleming's James Bond novels. In as Sir James Bond 007 and On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Bond visits an exclusive ski resort and is told that David Niven is a frequent visitor and in You Only Live Twice Kissy Suzuki mentions him as the only man who had been kind to her in her brief foray to Hollywood. Ursula Andress is also mentioned in the text of On Her Majesty's Secret Service as being present at the ski resort.

Mate you are a legend! That is what i call research - it is definately 24, there was a tv show based on casino royale but that isn't a film is it? So, if you count the 22 originals Dr. No - Quantum of Solace then add in the indie version of casino royale and the rather crap never say never again - presto you got 24! well, that's the box i am ticking anyway -:beer:0 -
